Even booking a wedding in Spain in June, no longer ensures good weather, and this was the second  Divine Service in a week, where rain had put a dampener on the occasion.

The Hotel could not have done more, offering use of the huge Reception Area – but based on the amount of blue in a cloudy sky – the decision was taken to continue with ‘Plan A’ – outside.

The beautiful blue chairs with white covers were wet by the time the service started, but there were enough dry seats for Jo and James and around half their guests, and I cut the ceremony as brief as I could out of concern for those who were standing under the Hotel’s huge garden umbrellas to avoid getting wet.
