shapeimage_3Victoria and Stuart had their wedding planned for July 24th, but then discovered their Pastor (Stuart from Hope Church in Albir) would be away. When they attended a “Thanksgiving” Service for the life of Doris Marshall, and saw the professionalism with which Clive handled difficult situations, they ask if Clive was available – and he was.

shapeimage_2Clive and Ann feared the worst when they left Jávea with the rain pouring down, and the weather alternated between rain and heavy overcast skies, for the hour it took them to reach the Venus (Bio) Hotel in Albir.

Stuart’s family tartan, used in the men’s kilts, was replicated in the bodice of Victoria’s flowing gown. There was no air-conditioning or ceiling lights in the room the hotel provided for the ceremony (and no one on duty to help), and Clive cannot remember ever feeling so wet (with perspiration).

After the ‘Wedding Breakfast’, when other guests would have arrived, the Exchange of Rings was moved from the Marriage Ceremony to the start of the evening’s celebration, so that the ‘late arrivals’ would feel they had been involved in the religious ceremony.
